The food pantry was established in 1978 by 6 local churches to meet the needs of those in our community who suffer from food insecurity. As

each of these small churches struggled individually to help those in need, they realized that they could not only help more people but could do it more

effectively by working together and Fish ‘n Loaves was born. A food delivery consists of enough perishables, and dry and canned food to last a family

for 4-5 days. God has consistently provided food and finances to allow His love and provision to be shared with our community just as he did 2000

years ago when Jesus fed 5000 people with 5 small loaves of bread and 2 small fish. (John 6)

This year 398 families (1616 people) have been served with enough food for 24,240 +meals. This is all accomplished through the generous

donations of members of our community through food drives such as this, along with the support of local merchants who donate many perishable

items. There are no restrictions for those who need help. Any family in North Davis County is eligible to receive food regardless of income, but

assistance is limited to once each quarter. They simply need to ask.

The pantry is open by appointment only. However, we are the only pantry in the area that will deliver in extreme situations to those who do

not have the resources to pick up the food. Our staff is made up of volunteers who are selfless in their service as they collect food, stock shelves, take

phone calls, fill orders and deliver food, all at their own expense.

While we distribute and can always use canned goods such as soups, fruits, vegetables, and canned meat products, right now the shelves are

very low dry good items such as:
